I suck!

I suck! I can't believe I haven't written in here in 23 days! Jesus! I hate how life escapes you when things get busy and you forget to do the things you enjoy doing. I love writing here and I really need to make more of an effort to start keeping it a little more up to date.
Not much going on here (for a change). Stephen is doing the finishing touches the mouldings and baseboards in the upstairs rooms that have been off for almost two years! Everything is freshly painted...the spare room, which will double as a den, is a really light green colour, and the bedroom is icey blue with chocolate accents....it looks wonderful. It's exciting to see it all coming together. Sad part is by the time you get it all done, you want to turn around and start changing where you started, ie my kitchen. That was one of the first places I painted and now I want to change it. The reason I hesitate is because it's venetian plaster and I have to sand it off the walls. Just because you own a home and CAN do whatever you want, doesn't always mean you SHOULD do what you want.
Work is going well, cat's are shedding as much as ever, but still not as much as the dog, and speaking of the dog, he didn't eat a bite today, and yet his poops are solid and he's energetic so I guess maybe he is just not in the mood. Or maybe he is on a hunger strike until I spend more playing with him. Guess I'll add that to the list of things to find time to do.
